Healthy eating with the Greenfingers club, where you grow your own and eat healthy

This is a page packed with fun info on staying healthy and growing your own vegetables/fruit/herbs instead of superstore bought ones, as home grown is fresher, yummier and usually you can choose which variety you want, from the mild sweet 'Elsanta' strawberry to the huge 'Maxim' strawberries, that are even bigger than most peaches!!!

Enjoy your time here, and we will begin with a fun picture story I made quite some time ago.

Sir Goofball Mailbox

Goofball Mykee is helpful and kind while I can help you find lots more about plants and nature. Goofball Mykee can send petmail about a new pet, or gardenmail about gardening itself. I know this may not be all Healthy Eating, but I really think he is useful here. Goofball has just sent a message...

Message 1 (petmail): "Gardening is really fun, but check out one of Jay's spiders, Spyee - he is even more fun!!! Here he is! P.S. Jay has two spiders!"

    adopt your own virtual pet!

Message 2 (gardenmail): "Growing sunflowers is amazing, and all you have to do is put one seed of the 'Yellow Giant' variety in the ground (not in a pot) and you will have a huge flower, all summer long!!! P.S. I like my uniform."

Message 3 (petmail): "Check out Doogle the dog at the top of the page. He is one of two dogs we have."

Fruity time

Growing your own fruit is a fantastic thing to do and there are many amazing varietes of Strawberry (see top of page) and Raspberry. I grow Raspberry 'Allgold' which is a yellow to orange raspberry unlike the red ones in shops. All fruit plants are worth trying, from blackberries and blueberries plants to the huge trees like peach, pear, plum, nectarine, apricot and apple.
